Chapter 4
“ Uuuhhh……”
Where am I? That dream, who is that young girl? She seems familiar to her. And that little boy, where had she seen him? ( Karin slowly opened her eyes and look straight at the ceiling)
“Good you are now awake Karin, what’s the matter with you? You had us all worried. You just fainted out of nowhere and if it wasn’t for Amreh you could have hit your head and died!!!” shouted Ekagami at Karin.
“Miss Tsubashi, I suggest you lowered your voice. This is not the gym, but a nursing station. There are a lot of students who needs some rest right now and you shouting at Miss Korusawa are not helping at all.” Nurse Jin glared at Ekagami.
“I’m…mmm sorry Nurse Jin, it’s just that Karin fainting like that and all …” stammered Ekagami. (Blushing red)
“You can go back to class now Miss Tsubashi. Hall monitories are allowed only two hours outside the classroom and it’s been three hours past. Your sensei will probably ask you for some explanations.” Nurse Jin absently check her monitoring sheet and at the same time shooing Ekagami away.
“I’m going, Nurse Jin. Karin?”
“Yes?”
“Amreh saw your pink panties when you fell down. Just wanted you to know.” smirked Ekagami, as she waved her hand towards Karin.
“OH MY GOD?!”
(Karin blushed furiously as she throws the pillow towards the closing door.)
“Miss Kurosawa, please don’t do that. “
“I’m sorry Nurse Jin.” deflated; Karin put the pillow back at the bed.
“Your mother will be coming to fetch you home Miss Karin.”
“Oh, thank you Nurse Jin. I just hope you didn’t call her at all. She’s been busy this past few days and I don’t want to disturbed her.” (Karin looks outside the window, seeing the sun slowly setting down)
How long had she been sleeping?
“Miss Karin, this is the tenth time you fainted this year. That is not a normal thing to happen to a 16 year old. Have you talked with your family doctor or told your mom of these fainting episodes you are having? You might be sick and needs some assistance. Your teachers also told me that lately you’ve been sleeping during your class and all of your grades are slowly slipping down. You are also taken out of hall monitories which is quite not good, because that annoying Miss Tsubashi keeps on popping her head here asking for students who she thought pretends to be sick.” Nurse Jin looked at Karin closely.
“Hahaha, Ekagami is quite a competitive person, Nurse Jin. Please don’t be too harsh on her. She always likes to beat me in just about anything.”
“One more time, she pops her head in here and I’m going to give her an injection.” Nurse Jin winks mischievously at Karin.
“Hahaha, I’ll tell her that for sure, Nurse Jin”
“Do you feel well? Your mom will be here in approximately 30mins. I’ll also issue a pass for you to stay at home for 2 days so that you can rest properly.”
“Yes, thank you Nurse Jin, I’ll just stay here and wait for my mother.”

The wind slowly playing with the cherry blossoms, as the flowers gently fall at the playground. Students saying goodbye and some are hurrying to the bus stop as the bell rang indicating the end of another day.
Mr. Tenegata, the school janitor would probably be busy collecting the falling cherry blossoms.
Karin mused as she looks outside the nursing window, as she tries to recollect her dream.
She can still feel the breeze and the ocean as it sprays mist on her face. The sound of the roaring waves and the soft warm sand as she played with her bared hands. She can also vaguely remember a boy, a little boy not older than her laughing at her as she tried to build something and he, laughing at it. She tried to recall the face of the boy; he seems familiar as if she had just met him.
“I see you’re awake at last.”
“Huh?”
Karin’s face blushes a bright red as she saw who pop his head.
It was Amreh - The new student! THE ONE WHO SAW HER PINK PANTIES!
Karin looks down and tried to hide her face.
“I heard from Ekagami that you were the one who bought me here. I would like to thank you. Mr. Amreh.”
“It’s nothing Kurosawa. Tell me does that happen a lot? “
“What do you mean?” (Karin looks at Amreh)
“You, fainting in the hallway; I heard the nurse muttering about you always fainting. Are you pregnant?” (Amreh folded his arms and leaned at wall as he look at Karin)
“Whattttt the ……”
“Swffffff” (Karin threw the pillow at Amreh catching him in his face as he wasn’t prepared for what Karin had in mind.
“What the hell?”
“Excuse me, Mister. Who are you to talk to me like that?” Karin fumed heatedly at Amreh.
“I do apologized Miss but ….”
“You are just new here. How dare you assume such a thing?”
“I thank you for catching me and bringing me here, but do please leave now.”
“I am really sorry. It wasn’t intentional. Anyways I’m glad you’re okay. I’m leaving now”
“Good riddance sir.”
How dare he? How dare he? - And just a new student here? Karin fumed as she picks up the pillow she threw at Amreh. To think that he is such a handsome fellow, and yet he presumes the worst of her. Oh Karin what have you gotten yourselves into? (Karin tapped her forehead) I think I need the two days rest that Nurse Jin suggested.
Karin groaned inwardly.
Where is her mom? If it wasn’t for these fainting episodes she could have gotten back to her ordinary routine. She prefers her old boring routine than what she is having right now. If she couldn’t recover fast, her dream of entering the top university would be gone and she would be stuck here for the rest of her lives.
